General information about the research project
This research project is taking place as part of my bachelor thesis at the PFH Private University of Applied Sciences in Göttingen. The purpose of this research is to analyze the motivations of online traders by identifying their main motives and exploring how these motives correlate with demographic factors, trading behavior, and their level of commitment.
As part of the study, you will answer 12 questions. This will take about 5 minutes. No particular burdens or even damage are to be expected from participating in this research project.
Voluntary
Your participation in this research project is voluntary. You can revoke your consent to participate at any time and without giving reasons, without this causing you any disadvantages.
Data protection and anonymity
Demographic data collected as part of this research project (e.g. age or gender) are only used for the descriptive statistical analysis of the data set. Further, subsequent analyses are carried out on the basis of an anonymized data set. It is then no longer possible to draw any conclusions about you personally. The data is analyzed using so-called group statistics. Individual measurements are not relevant to the research question.
Use of the data
The results of this study can be published for teaching and research purposes (e.g. theses). This is done in an anonymized form, i.e. without the data being able to be assigned to a specific person.
Legal basis and revocation
The legal basis for processing the personal data mentioned is the consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1), a) EU GDPR, at the end of this document. You have the right to revoke your consent under data protection law at any time. The revocation does not affect the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation. You can request that your data be deleted at any time - or as long as it is possible to clearly associate your person with your data. To do so, please contact the study director. You will not suffer any disadvantages as a result of revoking your consent.
